In Android Studio there is a collection of samples. These are mostly not full-fledged applications, but more established practices that do not diminish their usefulness for studying:
File -> New -> Import Sample
the following wizard appears:
Here you can select the sample of interest and it will be automatically loaded as a finished project.
A large number of source codes of ready-made applications and individual libraries and classes are available on Github when searching for keywords of interest. For example Image Gallery
Wikipedia also tells you where to find open source projects.
