Installed xVid. I went to the daddy, in which everything was unpacked. But, alas, there are no configs for the codec. They lie, apparently, somewhere in system32. But where the jester knows. A friend threw a label that refers to this config, but I, through my stupidity, deleted it, without looking where it refers.

Help to find configs.

Install xVid. The latest version of the codec can be downloaded from the official site. We go to:

    X:\Program Files\xVid

Here are all the main files that are necessary for operation with the exception of two: there are no encoder and decoder settings. If the work happens in Windows 7, then they can easily be found in the Start menu. If this is not the case, then you can try pressing the Win key, and then entering `` Encoder config ''. If this does not help, then you can try to go to:

     X:\ProgramData\Microsoft/Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Xvid

Here are all the labels for xVid. Encoder Config refers, for example, to this:

     X:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe xvidvfw.dll,Configure

    Decoder Config here:

     X:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe xvid.ax,Configure

The last line can be driven into the command line, after replacing $ X $ with your disk.
