Team docker run hello-world hangs, through several. minutes falls off on timeout with the message:

docker: parsing HTTP response 408 response body: invalid character: <html><body><h1>408 Request Time-out</h1>\nYour browser didn't send a complete request in time.\n</body></html>\n\n ".

Ubuntu OS 14.04 x64.

Version 1.10 was the same. MTU 1500 on all interfaces.

Where to dig?

    if the problem is (due to the provider) with pmtu , then the usual solution is to reduce mtu on the network interface through which the Internet is connected:

     $ sudo ip ls dev имя-интерфейса значение-mtu

    try to reduce to 300 (below 300, as far as I remember, there is no point in lowering). if it helps, gradually increase it to find the maximum “work” value.

    • Thanks, it helped me! On the router in the wan settings I have 1436 (and there is no possibility to change). I put on my wlan0 mtu 8 less - sudo / sbin / ifconfig wlan0 mtu 1428 up, and it all worked. - Sviderskiy Dmitriy
