Hello, you need to write a certain parser for logs of postfix. Is it possible to somehow get an example log file, as I already understood it

var/log/mail.log

Do not bother with the installation and configuration of the mail server on your computer?

Can anyone share one?

  • @UrmuzTagizade gave me the task to write a parser for logs, which would find cases of errors / not sendings, if I'm not mistaken, this is called bounce, and would report them. I would be very grateful if you specify a file suitable for this - malworm

Most of the quotations from the logs can be found, most likely, in the archives of mailing lists dedicated to this program.

Here is a list of mailing list archives, published directly on the postfix.org website: http://www.postfix.org/lists.html#online

well, and, of course, you shouldn’t “discard” and “primary source” - the postfix program itself, the source code of which contains all these messages.

  • And where to get a file containing something like 5. Jan 2 20:31:17 tmcent01 postfix / local [27450]: B58C4330038: to = <root@tmcent01.training5.tm>, orig_to = <postmaster>, relay = local, delay = 9.7, delays = 9.6 / 0.03 / 0 / 0.02, dsn = 2.0.0, status = sent (delivered to mailbox) But more? - malworm
