When installing Ubuntu, such an incomprehensible window came out. When you click OK or the cross, nothing happens.

enter image description here

  • Most likely a problem with the installation image (media). - edem
  • Downloaded from the official site, clean image. I install from a flash drive. Actually, what to do next? If I kill the process, nothing breaks? - watenix
  • It depends on what is on your computer, and most likely the computer will not boot. - edem
  • Thanks, I will try. Tell me how to correctly exit the installation process? Because This window appeared after the layout of the disks, I'm afraid that nothing will be damaged - watenix

If raid is hardware, then maybe the driver is not included in the kernel.

If you are doing a software raid then you need to try the mdadm utility http://help.ubuntu.ru/wiki/%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%BE%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BC % D0% BC% D0% BD% D1% 8B% D0% B9_raid

mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md0 --level=stripe --raid-devices=2 /dev/sdb6 /dev/sdc5

https://raid.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/RAID_setup#RAID-0

Try to install not from a loaded disc of a disk, but choose a boot option or a graphics mode or a pseudo graphic

Regarding, write the installation flash drive, I do so the truth only under Linux, om. Find out how the flash drive was defined in the fdisk -l system, find out that the flash drive is / dev / sdb or / dev / sdc or something else ... then dd if = ubuntu.iso of = / dev / sdb bs = 512k

I write a USB flash drive so permanently ubuntu or debian, no problems

    • dd if=ubuntu.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=512k - too complicated, long, and just unnecessary. in gnu / linux elementary copying works fine: cp ubuntu.iso /dev/sdb - aleksandr barakin
    • I tried it this way and that way. And the language of the English changed, the question marks disappear. All the same, the same thing. True, the window has already begun to close, but after closing it flips back to the disk layout. Apparently all due to the fact that ubuntu can not put on raid0. He sees all 2 disks with partitions, and not like windows - one whole disk. - watenix
