Java SDK includes a jar archiver, use it. In fact, this is a regular ZIP archive, just the file extension is different. You can use any archiver that supports the ZIP format. But you need to know that some jar have a built-in digital signature, it can be seen in the file MANIFEST.MF inside the archive. If you have one, then after the change will not work.
