Hi guys, I'm new. I study system administration. I put myself unix yesterday I want to put the server on it, apache. Actually the question is, did I start my training correctly, or did I have to buy hosting right away and train there already?
- right, and you need to do so - maint
- oneI have the nerve to say that apache seems to be a bit outdated and inefficient and in 2016 in most cases, instead, it is completely rolled by nginx + FastCGI / uwsgi / something else - andreymal
- @andreymal, I am still studying current, first I’ll start using apache and then already in the course of nginx - Anatoly

Yes, they started the training correctly.
in terms of learning, it makes absolutely no difference where the administered computer is located - on the table, under the table, in the next room, or in the data center.
- Thanks for the answer, now at least I am sure that I am going in the right direction. - Anatoly
- @Anatoly the main thing, work through the command line, not graphical utilities. In most cases, the computer being administered will only be available to you. - Nick Volynkin ♦
- @NickVolynkin, I get it, thanks, I do. Although very complicated. - Anatoly
