1. There are 2 resolutions 800x480 4 "and 960x540 4.3". All elements are displayed correctly, except for the font size. I created 2 dimens with different sizes, but I can't figure out how to scatter them into folders: both support hdpi and normal screen. It would be possible to register sw332 or h600 for 960x540, but then 800x480 4.3 "and 4.5" also fall here (for all 800x480 - a different font size).
  2. In eclipse AVD I launch 5.1 "and 6" 800x480 mdpi, large. The values have 2 folders: mdpi and large-mdpi. The data is taken for some reason from the mdpi folder, although in theory they should be taken from large-mdpi. Is this an AVD glitch or are there any other subtleties?

    1. for the first one, put the size in the default folder without modifiers, for the second one with the sw360 modifier

    2. From the documentation:

Note: Beginning with Android 3.2 (API level 13).

It is already time to stop using normal/large/xlarge only if you are doing something for the API <13. I really hope not.
Put in sw480dp and everything will work correctly.
