Why are win1251 and cp1251 written differently?

    cp is from the Code Page , and win is because this encoding was entered in windows , this is the Internet name for windows-1251 . In one previously widely known database, the same thing is called cyrr . Whoever wants, calls. Sometimes there is no single naming rule even in a seemingly single system. Some functions take one name, others take another, and so on. - Sergey
