as I understand the server dug (little memory \ cores)

winscp connection resets.

how to be in this situation? putty hung tight

  • Jira was never famous for the speed of work. It is likely that it loaded your server in full (for example, it could have been done by java'vsky GC). If the page is closed, then the maximum of the bad that will happen is simply not to be fixed jira. I would wait a little (half an hour) and try to refresh the page. If nothing changes, reboot the server and see what happened there. Most likely just ran out of disk space. - KoVadim
  • quite possibly not enough. waited more than half an hour. I think serv hung. if it doesn’t hang up then reboot via ssh? - des1roer
  • if you can’t log in via winscp, then you’re likely not logged in via ssh. If it works out nevertheless, run top and see who is surviving the percent. Also, run df -h and see if there is any disk space left. Heavy tasks can be nailed with the help of kill. - KoVadim
