I want to install MySQL. Everything goes well until the server configuration process begins. At the stage of Starting server all the time pops up the following message:

Configuration of MySQL Server is taking longer expected. Do you want to continue the configuration? May get this message again.

I close it, after a while it appears again. And so an infinite number of times. And I reinstalled several times, and tried to delete through the registry, and I downloaded different versions - everything is like peas against the wall! Tell me what to do?

There are mentions that this problem may occur if you start the 32-bit distribution on 64-bit Windows. It is necessary to download the appropriate installer.

Another possible reason is that for some reason the start of the wrong account is registered in the properties of the MySQL Service. View and fix manually if necessary. It should be like this: Login / "With system account" and unchecked "Interaction with desktop".
