Google's help says that AdMob is now part of the google play service, and you don’t need to download anything. Allegedly, everything in Android Studio is. More specifically, everything is in English. Can you please tell me how to set up banners and interstitials? Is there any intelligible guide to AdMob 2016? And then youtube is full of instructions, but they all start with "download the jar from the offsite", i.e. not of current interest.

  • Well, replace the download jar to compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:XXXX version current there is 8.4.0 for example, it’s not much changed. developers.google.com/admob/android/quick-start here is the off site. - pavel

Everything is easier! We come into file-> Project Structure-> ads-> we include Ads (we put a tick), it adds necessary in Gradle and will be recompiled. And then we add the construction to the Activity and everything else.

!IMPORTANT! The version of Android Studio should be the last! On my version 1.5, it gave an error, referring to the Gradle version then to some styles. Updating to AS version 2.1, it said that I have Gradle 2.8, and I need 2.1. But in the end, all successfully launched.
