 ALTER TABLE your_table MODIFY some_column INT NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT;

To use the GUI, select the menu item STRUCTURE, there is a list of all fields. The field can be marked as PRIMARY FIELD by clicking on the golden key, it should become silver.
