Can I do without these files or these system files needed?

  • If everything works after removal, it means that you can do without it. Specifically .bashrc is a config file that describes the behavior of bash the same language. - handicraftsman

Yes, there is nothing interesting :) .bash_profile I, for example, do not have at all (mint 17.3). If you really need it, you can copy .bashrc from /usr/share/base-files/dot.bashrc and fix it if necessary.

  • in fact, a person could just delete, for example, scripts for restarting a reactor at a nuclear power plant. - strangeqargo
