Good hours) The site is made on WordPress and a plug-in called web-camera (Автор: Denis Bogdanov) (located /wp-content/plugins/web-camera/ ) is connected to it. The address of the link for displaying content http://test.ru/web-camera/ ( http://test.ru/web-camera/primer1/ - link to the page with the camera).

It is necessary that the content contained at this address is displayed at: http://test.ru/camera/ ( http://test.ru/camera/primer1/ - link to the page with the camera).

I tried to rename the folder with the plugin and change the paths to the css and js files, and after these manipulations, the plugin will still open at http://test.ru/web-camera/ (although physically it is already located on the server at /wp-content/plugins/camera/ ). There is an assumption that it is possible to solve this problem with the help of RewriteEngine , but, unfortunately, it did not figure out how to correctly write the rules in the .htaccess file.

Can you please tell how you can solve this problem? Perhaps you need to edit something in WordPress itself or a plugin. I did not use engines, I don’t really understand how plugins work in them.

Thank you all in advance for your answers!

  • give a link to the plugin. - Hardc0re

you can write in htaccess such a rule should work

 RewriteRule ^camera/ /web-camera/primer1/ [QSA,L]

the address on the left where data from the right address should be displayed

  • I did this like RewriteRule ^camera/(.*)$ /web-camera/$1 [QSA,L] , but in that case it will redirect to andres /web-camera/$1 , and I need the address to remain the same, t. e. camera/$1 , but the page was loaded from the address /web-camera/$1 . - Firsim
