Suppose there is such a crontab with hypothetical tasks:

*/5 * * * * job1 & */10 * * * * job2 */15 * * * * job3

All tasks are performed in about a minute. How will they be performed, say, at 03:30?

  1. job1 goes to the background and starts its work there, then it starts and runs job2, then it starts and runs job3.

  2. All three tasks are sequentially launched, and all three work simultaneously.

    1 answer 1

    Exactly at 3:30, three tasks will start simultaneously. Well, maybe not at the same time, but with a delay of several cycles, but this is no longer important.

    • Really. I got a test alarm. All three tasks worked second per second. Differences from the addition & not. - hobo-mts
