Good day.

Tell me, please, on this issue: When I connect to the SMTP service via the command line (telnet), I see the greeting of the service. But when I try to enter a command, when I manage to enter 2-4 characters, the service responds:

220 <ัะบั€ั‹ั‚ะพ> Service ready EH500 command unrecognized 500 command unrecognized L500 command unrecognized

A similar situation takes place when I try to connect via a socket (C #) - I receive only the greeting service, and the service responds with error 500 to all my commands (as in the quote above).

Tell me, this is what I call the service wrong. or does it work incorrectly? The SMTP service itself is self-written.

The commands that I give to the service:

  • EHLO smtp.server
  • MAIL FROM:
  • RCPT TO:
  • Data
  • text of the letter
  • Quit
  • It would be nice to see the sequence of commands that you enter, and what you are trying to enter - Vlad Vlad
  • Agree with @Vlad Vlad - give more data - gecube
  • I added a question. thanks - Leonard Bertone
