However, its actual position remains in the initial position (clicks are held at the place where there was a BEFORE button). I do not understand how to make layoutParams overwritten in accordance with the new position or how to do it at all?

    Use ObjectAnimator for this purpose. It specifically changes the properties of the View , and does not move the image rendered from the View . nineoldandroids
