How are the disks connected? Directly or through a RAID controller? - MANK
  • Via RAID Controller - Vladimir
  • @ MAN69K'm lying, directly connected to the motherboard. What I understood: 1) if you install the desktop version of Ubuntu, then the installation goes as it should. 2) Do I need to turn off the raid through the BIOS and the controller, and use the software offered by Ubuntu server? 3) raid controller is not hardware obtained? I assume that the linux program is launched from the live-cd is not at all the same version as from the first media. // 2) is it necessary to disable raid via BIOS ? there will be fewer problems in the future. - aleksandr barakin

@Vladimir: "Do I need to turn off the raid through the BIOS" - yes, it’s better to disable it and create a software one. And in the service will be easier and in the case (pah-pah) problems less hemorrhoids. - MANKK

After disconnecting the raid in the BIOS and in the motherboard utility, the Ubuntu server saw the disks, then made the raid array using Ubuntu. Thank you @ MAH69K and @ alexander-barakin.
