Recently I started to deal with WinApi. There is a list of something like this: list of items

Sending a message like:

SendMessageW(ListHandle, WM_KEYDOWN, VK_DOWN, NULL);

Focus expectedly moves to the second row. In the case of the conductor, such a message also passes. And what about such lists (for example, the Skype contact list):

Sending VK_DOWN + VK_RETURN nothing happens. How, in this case, to go through the entire list so that each element is in focus?
