Disable automatic login

I have a system: Ubuntu Mate 15.10, which performs automatic login to the system in console mode, which makes it not possible to use the console for other users. And also I want to change the name of this user. To do this, I run the command from under another user.

usermod -l newname oldname 

He speaks

Finish all processes of this user

but after that, the who command shows it. Apparently, he is autologin. How to disable it?
