What are the contexts in the web application and how do they differ? From what I read in the internet I cannot understand the concept of "context" in this case, probably the hands are not from that place and google awry, if someone can explain or give a link to info, I would be grateful for what was suggested to me regarding my question: "They are there several - request, session, application, server ".

They differ in information, functions, characteristic of the context of this type, the scope of this information. As global, local variables. - Sergey

Perhaps you did not correctly understand the context of the word "context" (sorry for the pun). Most likely, you mean part of the CDI specification (Context (!) And Dependency Injection). In this specification, the managed components have a context - the scope and existence of the component. I highly recommend reading the book "Learning Java EE 7". It tells about CDI, and about other central specifications like EJB, JPA, etc. - Janislav Kornev

Reading about the context, not understanding the essence of DI is meaningless, so it is better to study everything in order. - Janislav Kornev
  • @YanislavKornyov thanks for the advice, has already figured out the contexts. - PolkovnikJ
