The fact is that despite the fact that SQL is a single query language of relational databases and there is a standard for it, in fact, each DBMS implements its own SQL dialect. Someone has not yet implemented a standard of a certain level, but there are several of them, someone has already run forward and noted that there is no mention of the standard, or it may not appear at all.
Therefore, if you take the SQL dump created by the means of one database and import it into MySQL, you may have difficulties with keywords or syntax that MySQL does not support or implements a little differently. For this purpose, there are compatibility modes that allow you to adjust the SQL-dump when importing to perform it without prior conversion. The list contains the names of the DBMS whose dumps you can try to import (this is not always possible, since many DBMS have features that are not supported by MySQL at all).
