I have a RecyclerView consisting of an Item list, many (but not all) of which have a CheckBox each. Not at all satisfied with the fact that I missed a bit by the CheckBox, I get a click on its parent, and not on the CheckBox itself. Increasing the size of CheckBox or adding another Layout that is larger than CheckBox to handle clicks inside it is not suitable as a solution to the problem.

How else can you increase (or at least just make) the radius of the definition of a click on the space around the CheckBox (but inside the Item), like a click on the CheckBox?
