Good day. There was the following problem, or rather two of them:

  1. after reinstalling linux mint sarah, the laptop stopped working on battery power, and he himself shows that its charge is 40% and charging is in progress.
  2. Also, after the update, no updates are installed. knocks out error E: /var/cache/apt/archives/python-samba_2%3a4.3.9+dfsg-0ubuntu0.16.04.2_amd64.deb: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error code 1

even if I remove the samba from the installation, the problem still remains.

  • The problem is strange. I suggest just make reinstall. Yes, just a clean installation is much easier than stupidly climbing the cache of a pollock. (to be honest, I always had some problems with apt in a pollock, moreover in the days of lm17) - handicraftsman
  • Yes, in general, did so. Could not solve in other ways, nothing helped. But due to stupidity, I didn’t look and set up a new betta first ... nothing was installed, I had to return to Sarah. - Eugene Zuban
