There is pptp-client and ipv4, connected via pptp. The local address is 192.168.1.2. Is it possible to make ipv6 from this address?

For example: I have a static ipv4 and I want to make ipv6. I write to / etc / network / interfaces:

auto tun6to4 iface tun6to4 inet6 v4tunnel pre-up modprobe ipv6 address 2002:4e9b:2аа1:0::1 netmask 64 gateway ::192.88.99.1 endpoint any local 78.101.123.209 iface tun6to4 inet6 static address 2002:4e9b:2аа1:0:e22d:40a4:23da:1111 netmask 64 iface tun6to4 inet6 static address 2002:4e9b:2аа1:0:e22d:40a4:23da:2222 netmask 64 gateway 2002:4e9b:2аа1:0::1

this way I have picked up an ipv6 network from static ipv4 and can write as many ipv6s as I like.

Interested in whether it is possible to raise such a thing not on a static server ip, but on an ip connected via pptp (vpn-tunnel)?

  • The 6to4 tunnel (as well as the pptp and all other tunnels) does not “climb ip”, but is installed between two computers . // ipv6-traffic can be "distributed" from the server via a pptp-tunnel: computer-outlines.over-blog.com/0012/12/… - aleksandr barakin
  • and it is possible to distribute a "network" or something like that from the server, and on the client, I indicate 100 addresses and choose which one to use. Then the Server processes it and starts up "to the Internet" on the white ipv6 I have selected. - soulsoul
  • try it. I brought the link to the instruction. - aleksandr barakin
  • thanks, this is what i was looking for. Little need to understand, but there is already a result. Make your comment the best answer and like me. And then you can’t like comments =) - soulsoul
  • Soulsoul, the answer in the form of a link is a “bad” answer . for a full answer, either deep theoretical knowledge or purely practical is required. I have, unfortunately, neither one nor the other. but you can answer your question yourself, outlining your practical experience. - aleksandr barakin
