Hello. I have Windows 8.1.
I decided, just in case, to check the backup image of the system, whether it is in good condition, because I am doing a full cleaning on the computer, and it’s better to suffer now than to think later.
First I checked all the system files with the command:
sfc / scannow
she said the system is fine.
But the next two lines are a little scary (at least because of the word Cleanup-Image inside), it’s unclear how these two commands differ, and what they will do in the end with the backup image:
Dism / Online / Cleanup-Image / ScanHealth
Dism / Online / Cleanup-Image / CheckHealth
I guess that most likely they are doing almost the same thing ... but this is Windows, all of a sudden she decides that "... these are old images, as many as 2014, and let's download all the updates, and let's delete everything is old, we will load all the CPU and RAM and the same / disk, and let your Internet be slow now and have your own affairs, you yourself have pressed such a cool command on behalf of the administrator ... ".
Well, or a classic: "During the scanning process as a result of a service failure of Long_name_ very_important_service, the image was damaged. Error number # 12349 ... 325 , a disk with the original Windows is required for image recovery ... and a lot of nerves" (by the way, the disk was not included with the laptop) .
I dare to assume that if the system for the entire time of use did not swear at the backup image, then check too? most likely everything is fine there
