We have:

  1. Win 10
  2. latest Miniconda (similar situation with Ananaconda )
  3. PyCharm 2016.2.1 (the problem was on 5.0)

The problem is that through the pycharm manager built into pycharm using conda , the ability to install packages and update them is lost. However, installed packages are displayed correctly. All pip and conda functionality works properly from under the console. Using the standard interpreter there are no problems with installing packages. You need a conda in 'PyCharm'.

List of available pip packages

  • look in the direction of the virtual environment, such as anaconda creates its own , hence there may be inconsistencies - titov_andrei
  • By default, conda is the same interpreter as the base one. I tried to create virtual environments using conda - the same problem: installing and updating from PyCharm does not work. - morda_by pm
  • maybe you have multiple versions of Python installed? not? - titov_andrei
  • Anything was played with interpreters - it does not matter, especially since PyCharm works directly with the interpreter specified by it - morda_by

Googling on the issue for two days did not give anything intelligible, however, I found similar tickets on JetBrains bugtracker, which, it seemed, had to be fixed in 5.0.2 (unfortunately, the reputation on the stackoverflow site does not allow more than one link to be attached, because these tickets will be omitted), in connection with which he started a new ticket , we will follow him
