How to connect a folder outside the project in phpstorm

I want to connect the folder to the project and work in it, but it lies outside the project folder, how can this be done?

Open the settings (ctrl + alt + s), go to the Directories section and on the right add a new content root :

After that, a new folder will appear in the project directory tree.

Go with Settings->Directories . There will be +Add Content Root . Add a folder and enjoy.
