I wanted to write a simple translator of Latin letters in Morse code and back. Everything works out, everything is fine, I just want a feature. Fichey chose the following:

As you write words to the console, it is necessary for the program to promptly issue a translation (in other words, an alternative to the Scanner class, without pressing the enter, right during the program operation).

Is it possible, if so - where to dig?

  • Perhaps of course. You can re-render the console without question, but I myself am wondering whether it is possible to be sank into the necessary flow, than to be smashed into the forehead. - DanielOlivo

Yes, it is possible. The easiest way is to use JLine or JLine2 .

They are fairly simple to learn and the code is well documented, he himself recently became acquainted with this library.

@Asgard, yes, you can, but you will have to implement something that is implemented inside this library :) - iksuy
