I'm completely confused. I am currently using ChartJS, but the functionality is sorely lacking. amCharts and CanvasJS offer to buy themselves for quite a lot of money.

Very handy highcharts library. It is free for non-commercial use, but the license is worth a lot .
If you want a completely free product, then look towards D3.js projects ( example 1 , example 2 , example 3 ). The graphs implemented on D3 are usually hipster , but for a specific task, something can be found. Plus, they are fairly easy to customize and finish.
