Upon receipt of the font assembly from the generator, it contains several directories for different typefaces. For example, for open-sans https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/open-sans

For example, for a page I need several font styles (light, semibold, italic, regular). For work, I need to describe each one separately via @ font-face or enough to take one, for example, reqular? and its appearance to adjust the parameters of font-weight and font-style? please send

Yes, you need to connect everything. The browser will not guess the names of files on the server.

    • I was told here on the English-language stackoverflow, connect Google-fonts, they work faster. I questioned the reliability and speed of such a decision (as you depend on a remote resource), for which I snapped off the minuses. what can you tell about this - while1pass

    • @ while1pass, ask a separate question and give the link. - Qwertiy

With @ font-face you connect the font and give it a name, in the future it does not need to be connected for reuse relative to the style sheet in which you connected it.

    • The wording "regarding the style sheet in which you plugged it" is kind of muddy and more confusing the answer than explained. - Qwertiy
    • @Qwertiy yes, I know where and how to connect, there are no problems with this. The question is different, there are several directories in the collections for different styles (normal, bold, etc.) and the corresponding style files with font face. and it became interesting to me, for each style you need to include font files in the project and expand the CSS with a new font interface? or can i go over, for example, with one normal font style? because it differs from the fat one only in the parameter-font-weight: bold - while1pass
    • * To the previous comment * Accordingly, the remaining styles get just the addition of the desired properties - while1pass
    • @ while1pass I don’t know what sets you are talking about, but I connected the font to the table and used what I needed - (italic, bold). - ivsol
    • fontsquirrel.com/fonts/open-sans here on the page when downloading a whale, in the archive for each typeface has its own table and its own set of fonts - while1pass
