Such a problem: there is a backup archive with all the root folders of ubunt and there is an installed ubuntu next to Windows 7. Which folders / files do not need to be touched (/ dev, / etc ...) when replacing from a backup, in order to restore, but also Linux with Windows worked together? Has anyone come across this?

/dev , /sys , /proc are virtual directories. There is really nothing there. It is generated when loading. If the backup of this particular system - just deploy what is. Maximum - make sudo update-grub again. - don Rumata
