Such a question, for example, is currently in beta testing on Google Play, what will happen to users when the application is released? Do they update the application to the version that is in release? Users who downloaded the beta version will be shown as users who downloaded the application?
1 answer
There will be 2 options, which actually differ little among themselves in terms of results:
- For example, you had version 3 in BETA. In release you release version 4. In this case, everyone who used BETA 3 will upgrade to RELEASE 4 (since these are the same application, with the same package)
- For example, you had version 3 in BETA, and you transfer it to the release. No one has updated to anything, but version 3 will be available to everyone.
In any case, the application is always updated to the latest available version.
The difference will be in another case: If you have version 4 in the release, and you have released BETA version 5, then version 4 will be available to everyone, and version 5 only to beta testers.
- I see, thanks! And for example, if a 100 user downloaded an application during beta testing of version 1, when the application goes into release, will it be shown that 100 people downloaded the application? Or the countdown starts from the moment of release? - Lucky_girl
- 2@Lucky_girl, hardly anyone knows such subtleties) But, most likely, it will be shown that 100 people installed. Judging by the fact that the beta versions of the installation are considered the console, and the number of users who have ever put the application corresponds to the number of installations that appear in the market. - Yuriy SPb ♦
