Nested inheritance in jade

Good time! Can you please tell me if nested inheritance is possible in Jade?

The problem is this: The layout file is the main markup. It defines a main block in which the necessary content will be inserted:

layout.jade

The item file contains the markup of an independent structural block, it has block content .

item.jade

 ...код ...код block content ...код ...код 

In the main file through extends , layout.jade is connected, item.jade is inserted into its main block. Accordingly, some content also inserted into the content block.

index.jade

 extends layout block main include header extends item block content p Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit. include footer 

In the compiled file, only the item block with the Lorem ipsum paragraph remains, and the layout , header and footer missing. Perhaps I make a mistake in syntax? Or is nested inheritance impossible?
