How to connect an existing repository with bitbucket to a project in visual studio, and manage changes from the studio?

    1 answer 1

Go to the repository on the BitBack, click Clone in the menu on the left, select HTTP and copy the link (the same for GitHub / Gitlab / any other repository - you need http link to the repository):

Then in Team Explorer choose to create a new repository:

    enter image description here

In the Local Git Repositories section, choose Clone, specify the link to the repository and where to clone:

    enter image description here

    Is done.

    • @NickVolynkin cannot, only online supports . In any case, I never learned how to prepare it, so I use https everywhere, since there is a tick "remember username / password" :). - andreycha
