    This message should not appear often. Most likely, you either incorrectly turn off the computer, or the disk dies slowly. - KoVadim

    shutdown through Gui is quite normal for a desktop. Then you need to look in the dmesg and guess why it decided to run the check. - KoVadim

    Obviously, you don’t want to look at the dmesg, but let the telepaths guess what’s happening there better. I offhand know at least two more options. For example, someone joked and gave the command tune2fs -c 1 /dev/sdXX (sdXX - your disk, most likely sda1) and it will be checked at each boot. Or, some kind of utility creates a file /forcefsck every time. Hide ... if a person has scabies, then it should be treated, and not covered with powder. - KoVadim 5:57 pm
