Created a new account on bitbucket and on it a new repository and made the first commit. But the author of the commit was my old bitbucket account. Apparently, somewhere on the computer you need to change the bake configs. Question: where? Or how to change the author kommitov?

  • may be in git-scm.com/book/ru/v1/… git console - Valera Kvip
  • git config --global user.name "John Doe" git config --global user.email johndoe@example.com - if you are talking about this, then this is exclusively for the gita. - Crok
  • Yeah, read it, you may want to change something else. - Valera Kvip
  • Isn't the beatback storage for the game? Only changing the config will only help new commits. - user207618

Git denotes authorship by the name-to-e-mail pair. Bitbucket, on the other hand, maps this pair to a user account based on the contents of the section “Bitbucket settings → GENERAL → Email addresses” .

Accordingly, authorship can be reassigned directly on the site, without overwriting the repository . To do this, you need to transfer e-mail addresses from the above section from the old account to the new one.

After this manipulation, all Bitbucket commits ever executed on behalf of the old account will be immediately reassigned to the new account.
