In freetype in version 2.6.4 , and after and in 2.7 a new hinting mode appeared, which is used by default. How to return the old hinting mode?

In the system profiles directory /etc/profile.d create, if not created, and open the file freetype2.sh and uncomment or write the line
export FREETYPE_PROPERTIES="truetype:interpreter-version=35" When you restart X or the entire system, you can again enjoy nice and clear fonts.
