In the system profiles directory /etc/profile.d create, if not created, and open the file freetype2.sh and uncomment or write the line
/etc/profile.d
freetype2.sh
export FREETYPE_PROPERTIES="truetype:interpreter-version=35"
When you restart X or the entire system, you can again enjoy nice and clear fonts.
