no administrative rights are required to perform the http request. therefore, the curl program can (and should) be executed on its behalf. But the interpretation of the php file received by the curl program, which will probably install and configure the composer, will obviously require such rights.
$ curl ... | sudo php |
Permission denied. Try:
sudo -u {юзер_для_апача} bash
Then you need to enter your password from the login woolf.{юзер_для_апача} is the one who runs the folder /var/www/my_project is usually www-data . If sudo has passed - you can try the installation again, if not - look for "sudo setup".
