I use Fedora 24. And even though the settings indicate the time that is now in my time zone, the clock widget still does not want to show the exact time.

How much time is not accurate? For a few minutes, or for a few hours?
In the first case, you need to adjust the time manually or configure the ntp-client.
In the second case, you need to specify the correct time zone. And again, to set the exact time, if the local time is set in the hardware clock (and not GMT (UTC + 0)), then setting the correct time zone will only result in the wrong time.
