I used the GetLogicalDevices function and the question arose, how many logical partitions can there be in Windows ? 26 - like the number of letters in English or 32 - the number of bits in the DWORD type, and maybe even more?
- onenamed - 26. But in fact more, just need to be able to contact them. But that's all if you have an OS == Windows. In other axes, such questions do not arise. - KoVadim

Disks with letters - 24, as the letters A and B tightly nailed to the floppy disk drives.
There can be as many other disks as you want, as the volume can be mounted to any NTFS folder.
And yes, in DWORD 32 bits, not 34.
- At least 10 Windows allows you to use the letter A as a disk. So nothing is nailed. - KoVadim

- oneNo, it just depends on what the hardware thinks about the diskette. If it is (physically or only in the imagination of the bios), then of course it will be impossible to assign it. In modern motherboards it is long gone and there are no problems. - KoVadim
