The problem is as follows. In the Gradle settings, compileSdkVersion and targetSdkVersion increased to 25 (previously it was 23.4.0). Download all updates. Also increased versions for required libraries to 25.0.0

And now I see the following in my ToolBar:

The gap between the buttons back and heading

I turn on the back button as follows: getSupportActionBar (). SetDisplayHomeAsUpEnabled (true);

Does everybody have such nonsense? Or am I the only one so lucky? I tried to roll back to version 24, but the result is the same (only returning to 23.4.0 helps).

Maybe something has changed since version 24? Enlighten please.

  • @iFr0z is there any explanation for this? Why leave so much empty space. And nevertheless, the question does not rest - how to remove this space ... - makandroid

    @ iFr0z Thank you. Indeed, the standard is new (it is not clear why there is so much empty space ...) I have already found a solution. Posted below. - makandroid

He asked, he answered. These are new standards for Material Design. But there is a way out. In the layout with ToolBar add the app: contentInsetStartWithNavigation = "0dp". Then everything falls into place.
