We download the latest version of GParted Live , make backups of important files on a separate piece of hardware, put "UNetbootin":
sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:gezakovacs/ppa && sudo apt update && sudo apt -y install unetbootin We stick a flash drive formatted in FAT32 , through unetbootin we select "Disk Image" and specify the downloaded iso, click "Ok", wait for the end of the recording, reboot into Gparted Live.
Next comes how I usually mark the discs. You can be different, act on the circumstances.
This is how the hard disk was initially broken. 2 OS: Windows and Linux.
Remove the system partition from Windows.
That's how it should turn out.
Right-click on the section with linux and click "Resize"
Mouse drag section to the left to start the screw.
We are warned that everything can break. We agree, because there are backups and a lot of free time.
Expand the same extended section.
Move the swap. You can recreate, but then the UUID partition is lost and you have to rewrite /etc/fstab .
Extend the hamster to the left.
We demolish the disk D:\ . We can not demolish, but once such a booze went ...
Extend the hamster to the right to the vacant space.
And now we apply everything that we clicked through "Apply" in the upper right corner. We will be warned that now the changes will be applied exactly and exactly nothing will be changed.
If everything goes smoothly - there will be such a window.
Now click "Manage Flags" on the Linux root section:
PS It is better to stock up with another livecd with graphics, so that you can google how to fix everything, if something goes wrong and the computer turns into a pumpkin. IMHO, xubuntu 16.04 - one of the most optimal options.
- 3Could you give a more detailed answer describing the proposed solution of the problem described in the question? In the current version, the answer is not complete. It is obvious that the installation of the partition editor does not solve the problem. You probably meant that with this editor you can remove Windows. Your answer will be complete if you describe this process step by step, including instructions on how to configure the OS loader and remove Windows from the menu. - Uranus
- Nivapros. Out to do screenshots. - don Rumata
- @Uranus, done. - don Rumata
- Someone put a minus. Hehe. Surely, according to the instructions, along with Windows, deleted the linux. - Sergey
