There is such a question not directly related to programming, but indirect.

Suppose it is known that in version 7 of Java, in 336 JSR documents, the ability to switch to string was introduced. How and where can I see what criticism and resistance were to this innovation?

Is there a JSR description somewhere in this document ???

The question of orientation and analysis of issues and their components. Who can help, who understands such data?

JSR 336 is an umbrella project that combines many of the JSRs included in Java 7. Specifically, the lines in the switch were implemented as part of the Project Coin project.

Discussions were conducted on the coin-dev mailing list, which is already archived. You can dig in the archives here: http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/coin-dev/

    • I wonder how to find specific records associated with the switch? I see the dates on the second link scattered, just go through all the records and find the records I need, I understand? - Ilya.K.

    • I suppose you can download the archive and just search the contents of the files. - Nofate
