Good day!

When using DevExpress for WinForms, it is possible to change the appearance of the application through LookAndFeel, but all the system dialogs, for example, OpenFileDialog, remain unchanged (not stylized).

It is very interesting, is it possible by means of the DevExpress library itself to bring the appearance of the dialogs in line with the appearance of the application itself? If so, how to do it?

Roughly speaking, if the application uses a dark skin, then the unified type of dialogue should also be dark.

  • And it is unlikely that you will wait if you look at the sources, for example, referencesource.microsoft.com/System.Windows.Forms/R/… , the system dialogs are firmly tied to WinApi and in .NET they have only a managed shell. I may not understand what, but for me it’s faster to replace them with self-written ones than to force custom themes on WinApi, but there’s no limit to perseverance =) - rdorn
