Hello.

MDI application, in which using the menu of the framing form, some actions are performed with children. The &Window item is added to the framing form's MenuStrip , two &Set all color &Set color subitems are added to it. The &Window clause and the two subclauses are also added to the child form. MergeAction - Replace defined for &Window MergeAction - Replace . In the child form, the &Set Color item sets the color of the form, and in the &Set all color item, the handler of the item with the same name is called from the framing form.

The question is: for the task you need to display a list of child windows in &Window , because &Window is replaced by the corresponding item from the framing form, you cannot get a list of child windows (the problem is that the list disappears when replaced). How to fix help please.

  • As far as I understand, it would be true not to replace one & Window with another, but to merge them, but I don’t know how. - Maxim Ustelemov

It seems to me that the point here is just in MergeAction . Now there is Megre, but there may be other meanings , try experimenting ... And here's another article with examples , I hope, will be useful. - BlackWitcher
