Hello, I poked in the forums where people share life hacking on the use of android. Route rights, replace DPI, remove dependencies on Google, edit build.prop, etc. In general, any actions that turn an android into a fake smartphone, which is different from the real ones.

I changed the DPI myself and in some applications there were crashes, and in the logs something was said about dp. Or for example, you need to check if there is a file in the system. And the user somehow made this file lie elsewhere, but also worked. So I get a false result. And if there is a need for removal? Do I even kill the smartphone and they will ban me?

Or, for example, advertising from Google, all sorts of services from Google, deleted gapps and put games - some flew out.

So, I have to make sure that the application works as well on these "robots"? Or not?

  • "the user somehow made this file to be located in another place, but also worked" - it means that you check incorrectly, since the system works, and your program does not. But for clarity, I would like specific examples. - PinkTux

Here you need to understand that you are writing applications for Android devices that provide different manufacturers. Now, if something is wrong for one manufacturer (it happens with HTC, Samsung), then you should support it. But that? what people do with their smartphones is no longer your problem. For nothing! This will already be considered a non-standard device.

No, you do not have to. But if you want to reach this audience of users, then, obviously, it is better to understand.
