Good day! I can advise you to go through some video course on web programming from the category "Creating a site from scratch", they will immediately give you something to do with pens, a little and unobtrusively tell about the basics. You can understand which direction in web development you like more. In my opinion, it will be more useful than to immediately rest on some "Complete Guide to ..." Here are some resources where you can start learning video tutorials:

    (in English)

    https://www.codeschool.com/

    https://www.codecademy.com/

    (in Russian)

    https://htmlacademy.ru/

    https://geekbrains.ru/

    https://ru.hexlet.io/

Almost everywhere there are free courses for beginners. I can also advise to go through something like http://www.wisdomweb.ru/

Of course, this does not cancel the reading of books. But allow you to motivate yourself and help not to throw on the floor of the road.

PS I do not pretend at all that this is the only correct decision)
