I need to pass an array of strings through the socket, I wanted to use an ObjectInputStream/ObjectOutputStream for this, but I was faced with the idea that the ObjectInputStream crossed out to me as an obsolete and dangerous class.

And I had a question: what is the alternative to ObjectInputStream/ObjectOutputStream apart from Byte/ByteArrayInput/OutputStream for transferring objects?

ps. I don't want bytes ...

I would be very grateful if you tell me.

You are confusing something, java.io.ObjectInputStream not obsolete. - Roman
  • Apparently this is a bug in my IDEA, I just wanted to make sure that not only I think so. Thank. - Pavel
